New Nissan 370Z: More Agile, More Compact, More Thrills
New Nissan 370Z continues the Z-car bloodline offering an authentic sports car experience with enhanced performance and handling thanks to its more compact dimensions and attention to weight-saving.
In the first full redesign of the iconic Nissan Z since its re-introduction in 2003, the new 370Z now sports a shorter wheelbase, greater use of lightweight body materials, new engine with more horsepower and a new 7-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, as well as the world's first synchronized down/up shift rev control system for the manual transmission.
Now in its 40th year, the Z became an icon of global, affordable sportscar passion. The new 370Z continues Nissan's philosophy of design, performance and technical innovation, offering authentic performance, true sportscar handling and athletic, agile design.
Nissan Australia Managing Director, Dan Thompson said, "The 240Z made its Australian debut in 1970 - a few months after the global unveiling in Tokyo in October 1969 - and it begun an exciting lineage that built a dedicated fan base. The new 370Z builds on the best features of both the first and last generations of Z-cars - respectful but not retro, simple yet sophisticated, and unmistakably Z."

Nissan Australia and its parent company donate to the Victorian Bushfire Relief Funds.
Nissan Australia, the regional importer and distributor of Nissan commercial and passenger vehicles, together with its parent company Nissan Motor Co. in Japan, today announced it will be donating the initial sum of $100,000 to the Victorian Bushfire Relief Fund.
The Management Operating Committee at Nissan Australia met and agreed to take immediate action to support the communities affected.
Nissan in Japan and Australia (headquartered in Dandenong, Victoria) will each commit $50,000 to the appeal.
Importantly, Nissan will also match - dollar for dollar - any donation made by its employees to either the Australian Red Cross or the Salvation Army bushfire relief funds.
Additionally, Nissan's financial services subsidiary has committed 100 Nissan vehicles through a special bushfire assistance program. Victims of the fires will be able to borrow a vehicle directly from Nissan - at no charge - for up to 6 months.
Nissan Australia Managing Director, Dan Thompson, said, 'We are all shocked by the severity and impact of these fires and we are keen to do whateve we can in response to these tragic events.'
